Elgas is a member of the National Association of Hispanic Journalists (NAHJ).

Ravi Baichwal joined ABC7 Chicago in 2006 as anchor of the station’s 5 p.m. and 10 p.m. weekend evening news. The National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences honored Baichwal with a Chicago Midwest Emmy Award for his anchoring ability.
