“On The Red Carpet at the Emmys®,” the pre-show for the “72nd Emmy® Awards” airs across ABC Owned Television Stations and will give viewers virtual access to the night’s shows, nominees, presenters, fashion trends and unique first-ever behind-the-scenes look at some of the Emmy-nominated series on Sunday, Sept. 20. The red carpet celebration will be hosted by ABC7 Los Angeles entertainment reporter, George Pennacchio, who will appear on a virtual red carpet located at the KABC broadcast center’s studio in Glendale, California.

Pennacchio will be joined by “On The Red Carpet” reporter Karl Schmid and fashion expert, supermodel Roshumba Williams. Contributing entertainment reporters will appear from their respective studios are WABC-TV New York’s Sandy Kenyon, WLS-TV Chicago’s Janet Davies and WPVI-TV Philadelphia’s Alicia Vitarelli.

The pre-show will feature interviews with Emmy host Jimmy Kimmel, and Emmy nominees Barbara Corcoran (ABC’s “Shark Tank”) and Billy Porter (FX’s “Pose”), while taking a closer look at some of this year’s Emmy-nominated shows and actors. “OTRC” will also take viewers on a virtual behind-the-scenes journey, from a look at the diversity of the Emmy nominees who work behind the scenes to visiting a $4.75 million penthouse used as a location in three different Emmy-nominated series: “Homeland,” “The Morning Show” and “Westworld.”

Supermodel Roshumba Williams examines how the pandemic has transformed the traditional red carpet fashion to a virtual red carpet fashion show, before naming her top seven all-time favorite Emmy red carpet fashion looks.
