ABC7/KABC-TV Los Angeles To Host Los Angeles County District Attorney Candidate Forum With George Gascón and Nathan Hochman

ABC7 Eyewitness News Anchor Marc Brown To Moderate the Live Debate

Media Credential Application Is Now Open; Deadline Is Thursday, Sept. 26  

KABC-TV Los Angeles, the most-watched station in Southern California, will broadcast the Los Angeles County District Attorney candidate forum with incumbent Los Angeles County District Attorney George Gascón and former federal prosecutor Nathan Hochman on Sunday, Sept. 29 (6:00-7:00 p.m. PDT). The live event is co-sponsored by the Leagues of Women Voters of Greater Los Angeles and Los Angeles County and in partnership with Univision Los Angeles. Press can request credentials for the debate hall and spin roomhere.

ABC7 Eyewitness News anchor Marc Brownwill moderate the discussion and will be joined by ABC7 reporter Josh Haskell and Univision Los Angeles anchor Gabriela Teissier, who will ask questions as panelists. The 2024 LA County District Attorney candidate forum will spotlight one of the country’s most closely watched district attorney races.

The live candidate forum will air on ABC7 and will also stream live across the station’s linear and digital platforms, on univision34.com as well as on the League of Women Voters of Greater Los Angeles City’s YouTube channel.

The League of Women Voters is a nonpartisan political organization that encourages informed and active participation in government, works to increase understanding of major public policy issues, and influences public policy through education and advocacy.

ABC7 and Univision Los Angeles have teamed up to rebroadcast the debate in Spanish on Sunday, Sept. 29, at 11 p.m. PDT via its flagship station KMEX-TV.

ABC7 is inviting the press to request credentials for the debate hall and spin room. Members of the press can submit applications using the following link: https://kabccandidateforum.com/

Please submit one form per applicant.

The deadline to apply is Thursday, Sept. 26. Applications will not be accepted after this date. All applications will be subject to approval and availability. Approved applicants will have access to the debate hall and/or spin room. Select photographers will have access to the debate hall for a photo spray.
